          A) Resources and Current Needs:
According to statistics in 1990, the number of people in Yemen is 11 million. And, water resources are estimated about 5.2 billions cubic meter, This percent covers all water needs. People in Yemen needs water for many reasons like agriculture and irrigation with 2.56 billion cubic meters, drinking and human domestic needs with 2.52 billion cubic meters, and industry needs with .08 billion cubic meters. The per capita of water consumption for people in Yemen is 473 cubic meters which are lesser than the standard for water stability ( 1000 cubic meters per year) which in turn increase water resources gap from the perspective (b) the number is 5.8 billion cubic meters. All water resources in Yemen from traditional resources such as; the first resource is rain (surface resource), and the second resource is the renewable groundwater. The south part of Yemen is poorer than the north part of Yemen in the water resources issue because of the lack of rainfall compared to the north part.
          B) Resources and the Needs in the Near Future.
When the number of people in Yemen becomes 16 million in 2000, water resources are stable as in 1990. But, water needs are increasing up to 3.63 billion cubic meters. Although, water resources are able to cover all needs. But gap (b) is increasing because of the low per capita from resources, yearly, to 325 cubic meters which reaches the total deficit to 10.8 billion cubic meters.

Yemen needs water for many reasons like agriculture and irrigation. It needs 2.56 billion cubic meters of which 2.52 billion goes for drinking and household needs. The industry needs 0.08 billion cubic meters. Water consumption per capita in Yemen is 473 cubic meters, which is less than the standard for water stability ( 1000 cubic meters per year) which in turn makes the water resource gap, from the perspective of Gap (b), the number is 5.8 billion cubic meters. All water resources in Yemen are of traditional resources. Rainfall (surface resources) is the first resource, and the second resource is the renewable groundwater. The southern part of Yemen is poorer than the northern part of Yemen in water resources because of the lack of rainfall compared to that of the northern part.
            B) Resources and the needs in the near future.
When the number of people in Yemen becomes 16 million in 2000, water resources will remain constant as it was in 1990. However, water needs are increasing up to 3.63 billion cubic meters. Nevertheless, water resources are able to cover all needs. However, gap (b) will continue to increase because of the decreasing annual per-capita allocation of water to 325 cubic meters, until the total deficit reaches 10.8 billion cubic meters.

The population of Yemen is to be 11 million, according to 1990 statistics. Yemen’s water resources are estimated at about 5.2 billion cubic meters, covering all water needs, such as agriculture and irrigation. It needs 2.56 billion cubic meters, of which 2.52 billion goes for drinking and household needs. The industry needs 0.08 billion. Water consumption per capita in Yemen is 473 cubic meters, which is below the water stability standard of 1,000 cubic meters per year. This in turn creates a gap, from the perspective of Gap (A), amounting to 5.8 billion cubic meters.
All water resources in Yemen are traditional, mainly from rainfall while renewable groundwater comes second. The southern part of Yemen is poorer than the northern part in water resources, given the lack of rainfall compared to that of the northern part.

            B) Resources and the needs in the near future
When the number of people in Yemen becomes 16 million in 2000, water resources will remain constant as it was in 1990 with the water needs increasing up to 3.63 billion cubic meters. Nevertheless, there will be enough water resources to cover the needs. Gap (B) will continue to increase as annual per-capita water allocations will fall to 325 cubic meters, until the total deficit reaches 10.8 billion cubic meters.
